Groundbreaking Scheduled for Embrace Downtown 

Noblesville officials will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 2, to mark the start of construction on the Embrace Downtown project. 

The event will begin inside Syd’s Fine Food and Spirits, 808 Logan St., with remarks from Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen and Noblesville Councilor Megan Wiles. Following the remarks, attendees will move outside for a ceremonial groundbreaking. 

The Embrace Downtown project is a multi-phase effort to improve infrastructure, enhance pedestrian safety, and introduce streetscape and beautification upgrades throughout downtown Noblesville. The event marks the first step in construction and the transition from planning to implementation. 

Phase 1A Construction Overview 

The first phase of the Embrace Downtown project will include underground infrastructure and streetscape improvements along Logan Street between 8th Street and 9th Street. 

Construction will be phased to reduce impacts on local businesses. Phase 1A construction will begin near the intersection of 8th Street and Logan Street. Access to businesses will remain available throughout construction, and pedestrian routes and detours will be clearly communicated as work progresses. 

Construction at the intersection of 8th Street and Logan Street will last for approximately 45 days, weather dependent. While the intersection will be closed, street parking spaces will remain available on 8th Street and Logan Street during construction. Downtown visitors may also continue to use surface lots and parking garages according to current regulations.
